Electronic music pioneers LEFTFIELD take over the Gardens on Sunday 8 March for a night of legendary grooves, seismic bass and immersive, boundary-pushing, high-energy electronic dance music.

Returning to Australia for the first time in 8 years and continuing the 35th anniversary celebrations of their debut track Not Forgotten (1990). Formed in 1988, LEFTFIELD quickly became one of the most influential and innovative dance music acts of all time. Originally comprised of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley, LEFTFIELD's legendary live-performances paired with seminal albums, 1995s Leftism and 1999s Rhythm & Stealth (both Mercury Music Prize nominees), solidified their position as true pioneers with classic tracks like Open Up and Phat Planet cementing their place in dance music history.

More recently LEFTFIELD released their 4th album This Is What We Do in 2022 to huge critical acclaim, featuring a track with Grian Chatten (Fontaines DC), and they continue to push boundaries, shake foundations and sell out venues around the world.

PAUL MAC (DJ Set) and LATE NITE TUFF GUY join LEFTFIELD as special guests.

LEFTFIELD
LEFTFIELD are pioneers of British electronic music, formed in London in 1989 by Neil Barnes and Paul Daley. Their groundbreaking debut album Leftism (1995) redefined dance music, blending house, dub, and techno into a genre-defining sound dubbed “progressive house.” Known for bold collaborations with artists like John Lydon (Open Up) and Toni Halliday (Original), LEFTFIELD pushed sonic boundaries and became one of the most influential acts in 90s club culture. After a hiatus, Barnes revived the name in 2010, releasing Alternative Light Source (2015) and This Is What We Do (2022), cementing LEFTFIELD's legacy as innovators who continue to shape electronic music.

Paul Mac (DJ Set)
PAUL MAC is an Australian electronic music pioneer, ARIA Award-winning producer, and classically trained composer. Known for his genre-defining work with Itch-E & Scratch-E and collaborations with artists like Sia, Kylie Minogue, and Daniel Johns (The Dissociatives), Mac has shaped the sound of dance and electronica for decades. His solo albums, including 3000 Feet High and Panic Room, delivered chart-topping hits like Just the Thing. Beyond the club scene, he’s scored films, TV, and theatre, and continues to push boundaries with innovative projects and remixes for global icons like LCD Soundsystem and George Michael.

Late Nite Tuff Guy
LATE NITE TUFF GUY (aka Carmelo Bianchetti) is an Australian DJ legend and master of disco re-edits. Dubbed the Godfather of Australian Techno for his 90s work as DJ HMC, he reinvented himself with soulful, funk-driven cuts that light up dance floors worldwide. Founder of the Tuff Cuts label, LNTG has remixed icons like New Order and Herb Alpert, and his shimmering edits have become staples from Ibiza to Melbourne. Expect timeless grooves, modern flair, and pure late-night magic.
