Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Leon Bridges will bring The Happiness Anytime Tour to Australia in February and March 2027.

Leon will visit some of the country’s most exquisite outdoor venues including a very special performance at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne as part of the Live at the Gardens series.

New Jersey-based 54 Ultra and Melbourne band Surprise Chef will join Leon Bridges as very special guests.

54 Ultra
54 Ultra is the New Jersey-based project of songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist JohnAnthony “Johnny” Rodriguez, blending synth-driven indie rock, garage pop and soul with strong Latin influences. After honing his production skills through studio work and self-teaching, Johnny launched 54 Ultra with the debut single Where Are You in 2024, quickly earning attention for a sound that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. In 2025, he also contributed to Kali Uchis’ album Sincerely, producing the track All I Can Say.

His debut EP First Works was named by Billboard as one of the year’s best projects so far, spawning fan favourites including Upside Down and No Tengo Valor and leading to sold-out shows in New York and Los Angeles. Building on that momentum, 54 Ultra released the Spanglish synth ballad I Won’t Go and the acclaimed single Find Your Love, before embarking on a sold-out North American and EU/UK tour. Just over a year after releasing his first single, he capped off a rapid rise with an expanded North American tour and his Coachella debut.

Surprise Chef have quietly become one of Australia’s most acclaimed instrumental acts, crafting a rich and cinematic sound that draws from soul, funk, jazz and vintage film scores. Formed in Melbourne, the five-piece have built a devoted global following through their distinctive grooves, lush arrangements and effortless musicianship, earning praise from tastemakers and collectors alike.
