The Avalanches announce their return to Australian stages, with six performances across the country in February and March 2027, including a hometown show at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne as part of the Live at the Gardens series on Friday 5 March.
 
For more than 25 years, the Australian group has been one of the most influential and original acts in contemporary electronic music, globally redefining what could be achieved with sampling and collage to create a body of work that has resonated around the world. 


The announcement comes as The Avalanches enter a particularly prolific new chapter, with their fourth studio album No Bad Memories set for release on 16 October after a run of new singles released throughout 2026.


Joining The Avalanches on the tour will be HAAi, the Australian-born, London-based artist whose work moves freely between club music, experimentation and leftfield electronic sounds.

The Avalanches
The Avalanches are Australian sonic innovators best known for their landmark sample-based debut Since I Left You, a globally influential album created from over 3,500 samples and widely regarded as a modern classic.

Fusing nostalgia, experimental production and emotional depth, the group have shaped contemporary electronic and sample culture for over two decades. Their follow-up Wildflower (2016) debuted at No.1 in Australia and Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart, cementing their reputation for expansive, genre-defying sound worlds. 

Their third LP, We Will Always Love You (2020) was met with universal acclaim (Metacritic). The album's concept rooted in "death, the afterlife, the stars, celestial beings and everything that's out there.

Praised by critics as visionary and singular in approach, The Avalanches continue to evolve through collaborations and new work, with their fourth studio album anticipated in 2026.


HAAi
HAAi - A need for experimentation, the exploration of new sounds, and new ways of making music is the inspiration that drives Australian-born London-based artist HAAi. Her forthcoming album, DIGITiSE, drops us squarely on the dancefloor, sonically spreading across multiple lanes, inspired by the energy and breadth of her all-night-long DJ sets. 

DIGITiSE, a companion piece to her acclaimed 2025 album, HUMANiSE, features new collaborators Echonomist, Skybreak and Cantoalegre (a children’s choir from Medellín, Colombia), alongside returning collaborators Pat Alvarez, ILA, James Massiah and Kaiden Ford, and, HAAi explains, it “…holds the hand of HUMANiSE and walks it to the club.” 

Outside of her own productions, HAAi is known for her dynamic, tempo-shifting DJ sets. Recent DJ sets include Coachella, Movement, Glastonbury, and Body Movements. In 2004, she founded UNiSON, her community-focussed night in London, and recent remixes have included Fred again.., Kylie Minogue and Nina Simone.
