Live at the Gardens delivers a triple treat of quality Aussie songwriting when THELMA PLUM, a proud Gamilaraay artist who writes about culture, heritage, love and pain, has released two Top 10 albums – 2019’s Better In Blak and 2024’s I’m Sorry, Now Say It Back. The title track of Better In Blak won the prestigious Vanda & Young Song of the Year award, and Thelma has been nominated for 15 ARIAs, winning this year’s Best Pop Release.

Sydney band SONS OF THE EAST recently released their second album, Sons. With a catalogue of hits that run deep, their legendary live shows have thrilled audiences worldwide. The STACK review declared, “Sons Of The East bring sunshine to even the bleakest of winter days, with magical melodies and heavenly harmonies … they’re ready for stardom.” Sons was nominated for Best Blues & Roots Album at the 2025 ARIA Awards.

Thelma Plum
THELMA PLUM is a Gamilaraay woman, musician and creator who was born in Brisbane, her current home. THELMA PLUM's debut album Better In Blak is a story about culture, heritage, love, and pain. With incredible strength, courage and heartbreaking tenderness, her debut album captures so deftly what it’s like to be a young Aboriginal woman in Australia. The album became one of the most successful albums of 2019, nominated for 7 Arias and spawning 3 Platinum and one Gold singles. The title track Better in Blak came in the top 10 of the Triple J Hottest 100, as well as winning the prestigious Vanda and Young “Song of the Year” award. 2022 saw the Meanjin EP, a love letter to Brisbane supported by extensive national touring.


Sons of the East
SONS OF THE EAST are an indie-folk powerhouse from Sydney, Australia. Formed in 2011, the trio - Nic Johnston, Dan Wallage, and Jack Rollins blend soulful harmonies, rootsy instrumentation, and timeless melodies that have earned them over 300 million streams and a global fanbase. Known for electrifying live shows and heartfelt songwriting, they’ve toured sold-out venues across Australia, Europe, and North America. JEM CASSAR-DALEY is one of Australia’s brightest indie-pop stars, blending soulful vocals with heartfelt storytelling. A proud Gumbaynggirr and Bundjalung woman, Jem burst onto the scene in 2021 and quickly earned accolades like NIMA’s New Talent of the Year and multiple Queensland Music Awards.
